How ready are we for action?

XII International EMCA Conference

The European Mosquito Control Association (EMCA) together with the Unit of Entomology at the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) cordially invite you to attend our XII International Conference of the EMCA to be held at ITM in Antwerp, Belgium, from 25th to 28th March 2025.

In an era where autochthonous cases of mosquito-borne diseases are rising across Europe, it is crucial to assess our preparedness, readiness and the tools at our disposal to confront this growing threat. This year's conference theme, "Ready for Action: Advances in Mosquito Control," seeks to foster knowledge sharing and exchange of experiences in science, technology, and practices essential for effective management of mosquitoes and other vectors.

The conference aims to bridge the gap between science and policy by creating a space for building relationships and trust among key actors in vector control. We will examine our ability to develop adaptable and resilient operational responses to vector-borne diseases and collectively address the pressing question: How ready are we for action?

V EMCA Training Course on Insecticide Resistance in Mosquitoes

The training course (24th March 2025) will precede the conference. This intensive course will provide valuable insights and hands-on experience in addressing mosquito insecticide resistance, an increasingly critical issue in the field of vector control.
